Client Content Report for Agencies — SoloCMO
Overview · report

Every article, every ranking, in one client report.

What you published this month, what each piece was targeting, where it ranks now, and how far through production it got. Then export it as the client's report — from the same screen you were already working in.

Capture a client with a full library and at least one ranking article. Anonymise the client name and logo first.

The problem

The monthly report is the task that quietly eats a solo agency.

Two hours per client, pulling Search Console into a spreadsheet, remembering which posts went out, rebuilding a deck that mostly says "we published things." At fifteen clients that's most of a week — so it either doesn't happen, or it happens badly, and either way the client's confidence rests on a phone call rather than a document.

The report shouldn't be a separate project from the work. It should be the work, read back.

What it does

Three things a client report has to answer.

What did we do, did it work, and what's still moving. In that order, because that's the order the questions arrive in.

Month at a glance

The summary, written out

How many articles went out this month, what that brings the library to, and whether production is on track — stated in a sentence, above clicks, impressions and average position.

Full content library

Every piece, with its target

One row per article: the keyword it was written for, where it currently ranks, its clicks and impressions, and the date it went live. Pieces that aren't ranking say so.

Production tracking

Complete, or stalled and named

Each article runs a set number of production passes. The report shows passes done against passes required, rolls it up to a count, and flags anything stalled part way so it doesn't sit forgotten.

How it works

You don't build the report. You refresh it.

There's no assembly step. The report reads the work the system already did and the data the client's own Search Console already has.

Step 01

Connect Search Console

Authorised once per client. Performance lands against the right article because each piece is matched to its live URL.

Step 02

Publish through the system

Articles produced in the panel arrive in the report already carrying their target keyword and production history. Nothing gets logged twice.

Step 03

Refresh, then export

Pull the latest from Search Console and export the client's report. Same screen, same numbers, no deck to rebuild.

A deliberate choice

A zero and "not ready yet" are not the same number.

Search Console usually needs two to four weeks after an article publishes before ranking and traffic data appear. Most reporting tools render that gap as a zero — which reads to a client like the work failed.

This report says the data is still gathering, says how long it takes, and shows production progress that's live immediately. It's a small decision that buys you something specific: you can send a report in week one of a campaign without it looking like bad news.

  • Maturing articles labelled, not zeroed
  • The two-to-four-week explanation stated on the report itself
  • Production figures live from day one
  • Not-ranking shown honestly rather than hidden

Shared context

What feeds the report, and what it sends back.

The report is the point where produced work meets live performance — which makes it the natural source for what the panel should do next.

Questions

Content Report, answered straight.

What does the client export contain?
The same report you work in. It exports from the screen you review, so the numbers you check and the numbers your client reads are the same numbers, with no rebuilding in a slide deck.
Why do clicks and impressions say gathering?
Search Console typically needs two to four weeks after publishing before ranking and traffic data appear. Rather than show a zero that reads like failure, the report says the data is still gathering and explains why. Production progress is live immediately.
Does the report show articles that aren't ranking?
Yes, marked plainly as not ranking. Hiding them would make the library look better and the report useless — a piece that isn't ranking is the piece that needs a decision.
What do the production passes mean?
Each article runs through a set number of production passes before it counts as complete. The report shows passes done against passes required for every article, and flags anything stalled part way so it doesn't sit unnoticed.
How do rankings get into the report?
From the client's connected Search Console property, refreshed from the report screen. Each article is matched to its live URL so performance lands against the right piece.

—  How It Works

Diagnose. Plan. Generate. Track.

The same loop, every client, every week. This is the operating system part.

1
Diagnose
Connect GSC, GBP, and GA4. SoloCMO surfaces striking-distance keywords, decaying content, and funnel choke points automatically.
2
Plan
Turn diagnostics into a prioritized roadmap — site structure, topical authority, link targets — ranked by revenue impact, not gut feel.
3
Generate
AI builds the deliverables: blog posts, landing pages, ad campaigns, GBP content — structured against the plan, in the client's voice.
4
Track
Rankings, map pack positions, traffic, and pipeline status update on the panel. You see what moved. So does your client.
